# Staking

> Staking is consistently one of the most important features on Ivy Maker, giving the NFT multiple functions and providing benefits to the holder beyond the original value of the NFT.

<mark style="color:yellow;">**Step1. Open ivymaker.io and switch to the proper network, then connect your wallet**</mark>

<mark style="color:yellow;">**Step2. Enter the Stake page through the menu on the top**</mark>

<mark style="color:yellow;">**Step3. Choose the activities you want to participate in and enter the page**</mark>

<mark style="color:yellow;">**Step4. Choose the NFT you want to stake and click ‘stake’ to confirm**</mark>

<mark style="color:yellow;">**Step5. Confirm the transaction on the pop-up, approve the authority, and then confirm again to pay the gas fee to complete the staking.**</mark>

<mark style="color:yellow;">**Step6. Enter the stake page and activity page to look up your staked NFT and rewards. You will be able to claim the rewards through the CLAIM button.**</mark>

*\*Please note that token rewards will be released linearly over time, if you stop staking, the rewards will stop too.*

<mark style="color:yellow;">**Step7. If you want to cancel staking, choose the NFT you want to cancel and click ‘cancel staking’ to confirm.**</mark>

*\*Please note that the staking is an on-chain activity, so you will probably be required to confirm or approve in the extension wallet while staking and canceling staking.*
